A vintage Wedgwood “End of the Day” collector plate, painted by John L. Chapman and issued in 1990 as the eighth plate in the Life on the Farm series. The rural scene shows working horses and farm hands returning at sunset, rendered in Chapman’s traditional English countryside style.
The reverse identifies the piece as fine Queen’s Ware, made in England by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Limited, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, and states that the edition was limited to 150 firing days. This example is individually numbered 1170E and carries Bradex No. 26-W90-35.8.
