Ornate decorative porcelain plate featuring colourful exotic birds, fruit and floral garlands on a white basket-weave ground. The broad pierced rim has an intricate lattice or reticulated design with a scalloped edge, giving the piece an elegant Continental porcelain appearance.
The decoration appears hand-painted or hand-finished, with rich purple, green, yellow, orange and blue tones. Its elaborate pierced border and detailed bird imagery make it especially suitable for display in a cabinet, on a plate stand or as part of a decorative wall arrangement.
The plate measures approximately 23 cm / 9 inches in diameter, based on the tape shown.
